*Finding Strength in Vulnerability: My Journey to Prioritize Health and Create Sanctuary*

As I sit here today, reflecting on my journey, I am reminded of the power of vulnerability and the importance of prioritizing our health. For years, I struggled to find the courage to share my story, fearing judgment and rejection. But I've come to realize that our stories are what connect us, and it's through sharing our experiences that we can find true strength and resilience.

My journey to prioritize my health began with a wake-up call 9 years ago on Cinco de mayo – a health scare that forced me to confront the reality of my own mortality. It was a difficult moment, but one that ultimately led me to re-evaluate my priorities and make a commitment to myself to take care of my physical and mental well-being.

As I delved deeper into my health journey, I realized that I wasn't alone in the world. So many animals around me were struggling with similar challenges, feeling lost and unsure of where to turn for support for their own individual issues. That's when I knew I had to create a safe space for animals to share their stories, find community, and access safety. And so, Great Spirit Animal Sanctuary was born and transformed from a foster rescue into a permanent Sanctuary, #home4life where all of the animals are safe and can experience hospice care.

Through Great Spirit Animal Sanctuary, I've had the privilege of meeting incredible animals of all sorts who have faced unimaginable challenges from around the world. I've seen the power of human to animal connection and the impact that a supportive community can have on our mental and physical health.

Today, I am proud to say that I am not only prioritizing my own health but also creating a safe space for animals to do the same. It's a journey that requires vulnerability, courage, and resilience, but one that is worth it.

If you're struggling with your health or feeling lost, know that you are not alone. Reach out, share your story, and know that there is a community here to support you every step of the way.

Thank you for taking the time to read this on my 9-year anniversary of how my life in the corporate world became a life caring for over 200 animals 14 hours a day seven days a week, 365 days a year.

Happy Cinco de Mayo 💜😎 🙌 💙
